Use a Lightsaber in ‘Angry Birds Star Wars’
Rovio has released six different Angry Birds games--most recently Bad Piggies--but none of them have excited me as much as the Star Wars one, 'cuz I’m geeky. The new game Angry Birds Star Wars (ABSW)is coming out on November 8, 2012. We've heard the game will have players take Star Wars characters, such as Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, place them in a catapult, and shoot them toward structures built by the evil Empire. Now we can see it for ourselves in this gameplay trailer, below.
Star Wars Episode VII Haters: I Find Your Lack of Faith Disturbing
When it comes to Star Wars, I have no safeword. Jar-Jar? Ooo, yeah, right there. Midichlorians? Thank you, sir, may I have another. Ewoks? YesyesyesYES! There’s a reason I’ve used the language of sadomasochism to describe my relationship with Star Wars. I know on one level that some aspects of Star Wars prequel trilogy (and the Ewoks in Episode 6) didn’t match the epic epicness of the original trilogy. I love them even though it hurts.
Lucas Gives Up Star Wars to Disney; Episode VII to Be Released in 2015
Disney has acquired Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion in stock and cash, which will likely move founder, chairman, and CEO of Lucasfilm, George Lucas, to a more vaunted position on the Forbes 400 chart. The leadership of Lucasfilm will pass to longtime producer Kathleen Kennedy.
After Hurricane Sandy, Manhattan Business Is…Booming?
October 30, 2012, 3:31 pm: In the relatively elevated neighborhood of the Upper West Side, downed trees line most of the streets. Near the Time Warner Center, a bus signpost, which had snapped at its base during the worst of Hurricane Sandy, lays on the pavement. There is debris, but compared to other neighborhoods, not devastation. And unusually, business is as brisk as a holiday shopping weekend. Grocery stores such as Zabars, Fairway, and the West Side Market are currently abuzz with activity, and there are long waits at local restaurants.
Review: ‘The Unfinished Swan’ Is a Splash of Brilliance That Soon Fades
There’s nothing quite so mind-blowingly awesome as the first two chapters of The Unfinished Swan, the PS3 game by Giant Sparrow. But there’s nothing so frustrating as the last two chapters of this roughly two-hour journey. The Unfinished Swan is both an excellent and disappointing game. I wanted to kiss and punch the creators.
