Four More Games Revealed at the Sony PlayStation 4 Event (The Witness, Deep Down, Watch Dogs, and um, Diablo III)
There were game trailers and demos aplenty at the Sony PlayStation 4 event last night, a fabulous feast for the eyes. In part one of this article, I mentioned four games that Sony is bringing to the PlayStation 4. Here’s part two, below.
Tonight Sony will be holding an event here in New York City called “PlayStation 2013,” known to the rest of the world as “the reveal of the PlayStation 4.” I expect we’ll be learning everything there is to know about the new-gen console, and I expect it will be awesome.
Activision Blizzard released its third quarter 2012 report today, and the news is “better than expected.” In fact, according to the financial results, “the company delivered record GAAP net revenues of $841 million….” Compare this with a mere $754 million, which the Blizz earned in the same quarter in 2011, and it looks like they’re positively farming gold.
The upcoming MMO Guild Wars 2 made a very good impression with me when I played it in its beta form back in May: it was both easy to play and easy to become engaged. Also, killing centaurs. But potential players did not know when they could become actual players. Until now. Guild Wars 2 will officially launch on August 28, 2012.
