Even after 30 years, Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner still inspires fans like artist Anders Ramsell from Östersund, Sweden. Ramsell has paid tribute to the science fiction classic by reconstructing part of the film…using 3285 “aquarelle” (transparent watercolor) paintings.
Ramsell recently posted Blade Runner: The Aquarelle Edition to YouTube. This part is only the “teaser,” the first section of his “paraphrase on the motion picture.” The watercolors add a surreal quality to a film where reality, at least for the hero Rick Deckard, is thrown into doubt.
