For those of us who like our world a little more post-apocalyptic, Naughty Dog is bringing the fun(gus). The Last of Us, the highly anticipated title for the PS3, will show the world that a plague of endoparasitoid Cordyceps is every bit as deadly as a zombie one. In fact, the results are pretty much the same: desperation, a struggle for survival, and slipped standards in personal hygiene.
Naughty Dog will be bringing us the game on May 7, 2013.
That’s a long time to wait to see if protagonist Joel is as charismatic as Nathan Drake, the star of Naughty Dog (ooo, same initials)’s previous hit series, Uncharted, or even as world weary as Rick Grimes, the leader of a group of refugees who are fending off zombies in AMC’s The Walking Dead. So to make it up to us, Naughty Dog have released their second trailer. Because the more we know about the fungal apocalypse, the better prepared we’ll be.
